Parcels & Petals - thank you cards

I love to make and send thank you cards to my fabulous friends and customers.  I really appreciate them choosing to spend their hard-earned money with me.  For my September customers I chose the Parcels & Petals stamp set to make their cards with. I also sent them a pack of our cute Artisan Pearls (no longer available) as a bonus gift.

The Woven Heirlooms designer series paper was perfect for this project - I really like the Rococo Rose and Sahara Sand piece.  I've teamed it up with Granny Apple Green to bring a little brightness to it.  The Stitched Shapes dies are used A LOT in my craft room - especially the circles.
I don't always come up with my own card designs from scratch - I found a card I liked on Pinterest and then modified it to suit the colours and papers I wanted to use. Do you do that too?

The floral imagery in this set is lovely - its kind of a speckled and mottled look. Very "forgiving" (as in, you don't have to stamp it perfectly and it will still look good!)

Botanical Gardens - Card Sketch

Just recently my team and I spent a lovely weekend away at our annual team craft retreat.  I'm never sure what I'm going to make at these weekends so I take ALL my stuff (well, just about!) and just see what happens and what mood takes me.  This time I mostly created cards using sketches for the layouts.  I'll share them all with you over the next few posts but here's one to get us started.

It's a very simple card using just stamps, inks and papers.

I've used the following supplies:

*Mossy Meadow card stock
*Whisper White card stock
*Botanical Gardens DSP
*Perfect Pairings stamp set (sale-a-bration item)
*Mossy Meadow ink
*Cajun Craze ink

One-layer thank you cards

I like to make thank you cards to put in my hostess and customer orders. Because I need to make quite a lot of these, I like to keep them simple.

What could be more simple than a one-layer card? Certainly saves time if I don't have to cut up lots of layers.

Here's my most recent thank you card:

I've used a beautiful new stamp from the "Fresh Vintage" stamp set - available as a free gift during Sale-a-bration. The colours are Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard and Old Olive. The "thank you" sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Sentiments" stamp set.

Markers are a great way to get lots of colours onto a one-layer card.
