Door Prize Tin

I finally got around to decorating a tin that I can take to my workshops to put the door prize entry forms in.  I was forever asking hostesses if I could have a bowl to draw the forms out of but now I have my very own tin!
I simply used a 12x12 sheet of Designer Series paper (in this case its the Polka Dots and Petal one from the Spring Mini) and some matching ribbon (Turquoise grosgrain) and wrapped them around a baby formula tin.  I used Sticky Strip to adhere the paper and ribbon to the tin.
I think I could probably do more to decorate it and if I do I will post an updated pic here on the blog.

Buggy Birthday Card

Here's the other card I showed Bell how to stamp. This one was just a really quick and easy birthday card for a little boy. You could do a lot more with this card but we were keeping it simple - no need to overwhelm people when they are just learning to stamp.

We used colours only from the Bold Brights. Generally if you stick to colours within one colour family, the combinations will look good together.

Stamps: Bugs & Kisses

Inks: Tempting Turquoise, Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Glorious Green, Lovely Lilac

Papers: Whisper White, Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon

Valentine

Here's the Valentine's card I gave to my hubby. I was inspired by a card I saw on the internet somewhere...sorry I can't remember which site or blog. Most likely it was in someone's gallery on Splitcoast but unfortunately I can't find it in my favourite's folder.

I made this card at the same time as teaching my soon-to-be sister-in-law Bell how to stamp. We both made this same card and another that you will see in my next post.

The heart was stamped using the rock'n'roll technique. Ink the stamp in Bashful Blue and then "rock and roll" the edges of the heart in the Close to Cocoa ink and then stamp onto the Very Vanilla.

Stamps: French Script, Simply Said

Inks: Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue

Papers: Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Blue Gingham Ribbon

Bad Blogger!

Uh oh, it has been a month since I last updated my blog! Sorry everyone. Posts and pics to come very soon, I promise!
