Scallop Square Birthday

Here's the card I sent to my friends' little boy Hunter when he turned 1 in January. (Check out the baby card I made when he was born.)

This was such an easy card to make. I started by choosing a piece of Designer Series Paper and that determined the colour combination for me. The crocodile image is simply stamped, cut out and mounted with dimensionals.

The sentiment was punched out with the Scalloped Square Punch. The larger, red scalloped square was created with the Scalloped Edge Punch. I will be creating a photo tutorial on how I made this sized one. There is a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers that shows a different method for creating scalloped squares and rectangles too.

Stamps: Birthday Best, Wild About You
Inks: More Mustard, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, East Coast Prep DSP
Accessories: Nil
Tools: Scalloped Square Punch, Scalloped Edge Punch

And sorry about the large gap in time between posts. Life with small children gets pretty busy as you all know and sometimes this blog just has to take a back seat to all the other things that need to get done in life. Sale-A-Bration is keeping me VERY busy with workshops and getting my new recruits off to a good sart with their Stampin' Up! businesses. Creating and organising the Album in a Day event has also been keeping me very busy. If you'd like to attend the Album in a Day event you'll need to get your payments in ASAP to secure your booking.
