Moody Mauve Monochromatic

I'm back with another Monochromatic card for you, this time our featured colour is Moody Mauve.

One option when working in monochromatic is to add a neutral colour such as white. That's what I've done for the first card here. I've kept it simple with just straight Moody Mauve and Basic White.
The stamp set and dies are called Irresistible Blooms and you can find them in our Online Exclusives range.

Another option when working in monochromatic is to add other tones or shades of the colour. Ideally I would have chosen a colour called Rococo Rose, but unfortunately I don't have any left as it's a retired colour. Instead I chose Bubble Bath and hoped for the best! haha.  I think it worked ok. The Designer Paper had stark white dots so I used a blending brush and some Bubble Bath ink to tone it down a little.
The "hello" stamp is also from the Irresistible Blooms bundle I used on the first card.

Boho Blue - Dainty Delight

Boho Blue is such a lovely colour.
It has a softness to it that I really like - perhaps it's the hint of grey that creates the soft effect.

For this monochrome card I've used the Dainty Delight bundle. The delicate floral images work well with Boho Blue.  I've also used the 2023-2025 In-Colour Designer Paper and Dots.

To colour the image, I used a Blender Pen to pull colour from the stamped image and spread it out to give the look of being coloured in.  If your ink from the outline image has dried too much for this technique, you can take some extra ink from your ink pad.  I like to tap the ink pad onto a clear block or a piece of acetate, then pick up the ink from there with the Blender Pen.

What do you think of Boho Blue? Is it a must-have colour for you?

Wild Wheat - Monochromatic

Wild Wheat is such an interesting colour!

It makes a great substitute for gold if you don't want "shiny" and somehow has a vintage feel to it.

What's your take? Love or hate?

Here's my submission for the #craftycollaborations Insta Hop:

I've used the Hot Air Balloon bundle from the mini catalogue to stamp the images and words.

I love the tone-on-tone effect of stamping with Wild Wheat ink onto Wild Wheat card stock.

The background paper comes from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper which is a free gift with purchase during January and February.

For a final touch, some matching gems of course.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card design!

Copper Clay - Monochromatic

I love monochromatic colour schemes.
Copper Clay is such a lovely, rich colour.

I've used the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set and Dies, along with Copper Clay ink, Versamark Ink, White embossing powder and copper embellishments to create this look.

There is quite a large floral image in the stamp set. I used that image to stamp a background for my card. I stamped one whole image, then inked up small sections of the same stamp to fill in the gaps around the edges.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white powder.
I used the dies from the bundle to cut out the sentiment and some leaves for added texture.

A strip of patterned paper and a few copper embellishments complete the look!

Framed and Festive stamp set

The Framed and Festive stamp set is a limited release product currently available while stocks last.

It coordinates with the Fitting Florets collection but can also be used independently.

I’ve used it here to create  someChristmas cards for my team members. I made 12 of this particular design.

I love the way the frames can layer together.

Fitting Florets Collection

In November we got an "early release" of a bundle from the upcoming Mini Catalogue, as well as some "limited time only" matching products.

I have had a ball playing with the Fitting Florets Collection. I've event used up almost ALL the designer series paper!! That hardly ever happens!   Here are some of the cards I've created with these pretty products. I've actually made heaps of each design, not just the one or two pictured in each photo below.

If you placed an order with my in November you will very likely be receiving one of these cards in the mail shortly :-)

At my November team meeting we all made this pretty card. I love the way the die in the background cuts a peekaboo effect with all those little hearts.
The flower image was cut from the designer paper using the matching dies.

The floral focal point images were also cut from the Designer Series paper, but this time BY HAND! Yes, I fussy cut all those fiddly flowers and leaves - but it was worth it, I think they look great! I then used more of the Designer Series paper as the background. I like to feature both sides so I chop a bit off the bottom and flip it over so you can see both patterns on the one card.
The oval frame dies are my favourite thing about this collection. Actually, maybe the gold swirl embellishments are my favourites....

I had cut out soooo many flower images that I ran out of the rest of the designer paper to go on the fronts of cards! I just had little strips left. So I made this single page note cards. I love how they turned out. Super hand for writing a quick note when you don't want to send a full card.

I even made some Christmas cards with the coordinating Christmas stamp set but I'll save those photos for the next blog post!
